Biography:

Picture 1Matthew Ryan Waldner is a professional guitarist and composer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Matt started playing guitar in January 2002. Early influences included bands such as Metallica, Ozzy, and Alice In Chains.

Inspired by virtuoso guitarists such as Steve Vai, Jeff Loomis, and Michael Romeo, Matt has been fine tuning his guitar skills in more recent years by studying under virtuoso guitarists such as Tom Hess.

Matt has released music worldwide and has a song featured on a 10,000 copy compilation Album.

He is currently in the studio writing his full-length debut solo CD.

Matt has many different musical influences, mostly in the Rock and guitar-based genres. He has a diverse music taste in a wide selection of artists outside of the Rock genre, ranging from Classical to Pop music. His music is primarily focused on self-expression which is not limited to a single genre.

he 10,000 copy compilation album ‘Under The Same Sky’ was released on May 23 2009. It is being distributed world wide and showcases individual and ensemble works of Violin and Guitar, from Folk and Jazz to Hard Rock, Punk and Blues.

Instructional

Matt also a deep passion for teaching and is a dedicated instructor on composing, guitar playing, and musical success. He currently teaches beginners to professionals at American Guitar and Band in Maple Grove, MN. He has helped many students reach their goals and has been teaching regional private guitar lessons and group classes.
